Nick Chacona, one of New York's most venerable exponents of contemporary musical excellence,
makes his belated debut on the Wurst imprint. Chacona has an impressive CV with releases for esteemed
imprints such as Bear Funk, Internasjonal, Stilove4Music, 20:20 Vision and Moodmusic, but he might just
have reserved his finest for his good friend Roy Dank. Sitting in the space that gathers dust between
disco and house, "Slice of Life" exudes a slow burning charm. A sultry groove is propelled along by searing
textures which build towards a twilight synth solo imbued with ecstatic energy. Scandinavian newcomers
Name In Lights have but one release on FEED Records to their names but signpost their production potential
with a remix that repositions Chacona's track as a swifter disco rock jam, typified by tight slap bass licks, slicks
syncopation and steadily pulsing arpeggios. Definitely ones to watch out for.
